Meet Jennie Milner

From crafting production jewelry to painting large-scale murals to teaching countless students, Jennie has spent years refining her skills and cultivating her passion for hands-on artistry.

Art has always been a space where I explore the intersection of creativity and craftsmanship, a journey that spans across multiple disciplines. My studio at Artworks Center for Contemporary Art is a haven where I immerse myself in painting, bringing vibrant, evocative imagery to life. This practice is deeply intertwined with my work in jewelry, where I teach project-based classes for beginners at my jewelry school. Here, I encourage others to discover the joy of creating with their hands, blending technique with personal expression.

My academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University, has been a foundation for my teaching roles at institutions such as the University of Northern Colorado, Denver School of Metal Arts, Boulder Metalsmithing Association, and Colorado Metalsmithing Association. These experiences have enriched my understanding of metalsmithing, which I further share through downloadable tutorials from Interweave Press.

In every medium I work with, from painting to metalsmithing, my goal is to explore and express the beauty of transformation—whether it’s through the evolution of materials, the development of a skill, or the impact of art on its surroundings. My practice is a continuous exploration of how art can shape and enrich our lives, inviting others to join in this dynamic journey of creation and discovery
